Worst homeowner insurance company and Adjustor imaginable. Refused to be accountable for broken water pipe damage, exceedingly poor appraisal of catastrophic damage. Left me in an position to pay all due diligence and then refused to reimburse me for out of pocket loans and expenditures (with receipts). Never compensated me for actual losses, extremely Dishonest and apathetic. Left me with tragic loss, debt and minimal compensation. This was my home and rental property along with my income. The agent and adjustor Informed me that In order to proceed with repairs it was necessary to put a down payment of $30,000 to a contractor that they work with. I was already out $100,000 and in Debt, (for due diligence) so I couldnt proceed with repairs. The company then canceled my homeowners policy and made it impossible to contract with another because the house was never repaired and not up to code. Ryan Murdy, Northwoods Insurance carrier, was apathetic and rude with his remarks regarding Erie Niagara Insurance Company and offered no compliance for assistance toward any of my insurance claims. I am left forced to sell my once beautiful home, loose my income and business at great loss due to the insurance carrier dropping the ball and keeping all the money for themselves. No representation, no on property meet ups unless forced. The engineer contracted took 9 months to determine that the pipe was actually broken from the time that I originally produced the evidence. He tried to blame the occurrence on anything else that he could. Very cantankerous individual.
